ROYSTON Ladies played out their last game of the season in style with a thumping win in what was probably their best performance of the season.
Injuries and unavailability had forced Town's manager to reshape his squad and they responded magnificently from the very start with great interplay down the right hand side between Marie Miller, Wendy Webster and Laura Foulger.
Despite of all the early pressure it took nearly 30 minutes for them to get ahead when a great piece of opportunism from Laura Foulger saw her volley a Sawbridgeworth goal kick straight back into the net.
Two minutes later Emma Chaffey made no mistake for Town's second and Chaffey added a third on 37 minutes from the spot after Webster had been pushed over in the box.
At the other end Royston's defence had a quiet day although both young full backs Rebecca Robinson and Charlie Foulger were providing an extra dimension to Royston's attacking moves, and Royston eventually scored a fourth when on 52 minutes Stacey Hassan worked a great position inside the box and finished the job off with a well taken goal.
