Saffron Walden Ladies 2 Royston Ladies 3

ROYSTON travelled the short journey to Saffron Walden to play their first game in six weeks due to the weather and repairs on the home pitch.

Royston began strongly but it was Saffron Walden who made their mark on the game with a goal within 15 minutes.

Despite this setback Royston battled hard and birthday girl soon levelled for Royston by converting a short corner from the top of the D.

Royston then converted another short corner to make it 2-1, and although Saffron Walden levelled just after the break, Royston won the game through Sophie Gathercole with just seconds remaining.
