ROYSTON never looked liked dropping points against Shefford and Sandy, and although they went 1-0 down after just 20 minutes they pulled a goal back just moments later through Denise Underwood.
They soon went ahead themselves when a great pass by Kate Nakivell found Kirsty McKenzie just inside the D and the ball was stuck home.
Minutes later they went 3-1 up when Ruth Ashkam finished off a short corner routine from the top of the D.
Shefford came out stronger at the start of the second half but they couldn't break down the solid Royston defensive line and get the ball past the impressive Mel Harding in goal.
McKenzie then put Royston 4-1 up with her second of the game, a win which put Royston back on track for their promotion push.
