PREPARATIONS for the Cambridgeshire County Week got under way when the first team took on a strong Herts team at Brocket Hall.
After the morning foursomes, Cambs and Hunts were 4-1 down, but the afternoon singles saw a fightback by the ladies, who won five-and-a-half of the 10 matches for a final match score of 8 -6.
County captain Sarah Greenall said: "This match, together with the earlier matches against St Neots and Thetford provided invaluable practice for the county squad.
