London Kingsbury Tigers v Royston town preview
Tuesday, December 8 - 7.45pm KO
Where: Silver Jubilee Park, Townsend Lane, Kingsbury, London NW9 7NE
Who: Joined by a merger of Kingsbury Town and London Tigers in 2006, the London Tigers are a community-based team hoping to provide young and upcoming footballers from disadvantaged backgrounds the opportunity to play football in a semi-professional league. The club has made steady progress these last three years in the Premier Division. In 2007 the club finished in 13th place, in 2008 they dropped a spot but last season finished in fifth. Unfortunately their home attendances were the second lowest in the league last term despite their success on the field with just an average of 31 people turning up for their home games.
Season so far: Despite last year's strong showing, the Tigers are languishing in 16th position this season. That said, they have played just 15 games and are just two points behind 12th position with four games in hand. They have played one game fewer than Royston and have a superior defensive record (just 24 conceded to Royston's 29), however they don't score too many either.
Form Guide (past five league games):
London Kingsbury Tigers: LDWLW
Royston Town: WWWLL
