Royston III 6

HAVING secured promotion from EN14 Division 7, Royston eased to victory at Winchmore Hill.

Andy Wilson put The Crows in front after 10 minutes, but the home side responded with a breakaway goal that left keeper Chris Berry stranded.

Royston reacted well, with Wilson, Clive Biddlecombe, and Paul Visagie epitomising their club's character and freeing Darren Hicks for a well-worked second goal.

Winchmore Hill offered little in reply, as Royston gained the upper hand and the majority of the game's possession.

But they could add only one more first-half goal, with Nick Broadley's sweetly struck shot making it 3-1.

The second half was much of the same, with the hosts' second goal shaded out by three more Royston strikes, courtesy of Hicks, Wilson, and Visagie.

And with only two league games remaining, The Crows now require just one point to claim the league title in what has been a highly impressive season.
