Louis Clayton added a treble, with Owen Hughes and Alex Starks also on target in an emphatic victory.

Hares' under-15 side got back to winning ways with a 2-1 win against Trident Wasps.

A scrappy affair throughout saw Hares playing some good football in the first half, and some persistent chasing down from DJ Winkworrth was rewarded when he pounced on an error to send Hares in one-up at half time.

Trident were then allowed to get back into the game, but a neat finish from Daniel Banks-Smith gave Hormead the lead once more and Hares managed to hold Trident at bay for the rest of the game to take the points.

The under-seven A side entertained Hatfield at home and set off at blistering pace from the whistle with Jack Richardson slotting the ball home in a mere 22 seconds.

Three minutes later Oscar Bilton put the home side 2-0 in front. Hares debutant Owen Hargreaves bagged his first for Hormead eight minutes from half time.

Lewis Ellis scored a minute later to send Hares into half- time four goals clear.

The second half saw constant pressure from Hares with some brave defending from Hatfield. Despite their endeavours Hormead could not find the net again.

The B team followed on with an evenly matched first half. Both Sheldon Best and Reiss Gillingwater had shots saved while Lewis Ellis made sure the home side went into the break a goal to the good with a great strike.

After the break Hares peppered the opposition goal. Charlie Hannam had a goal disallowed before Jack Richardson strike found the net to wrap up the victory.

Hares' under-13 girls fought back from conceding two goals against Histon to run out 5-2 winners.

Excellent marking by Sophie Barker nullified any further Histon goal threats for the remainder of the game. In reply a quick Katie Jennings free kick found Becky Turner who finished superbly.

The second half saw Hares take control, with debutant Kirsty Hill magnificent in midfield, Turner bagged a her brace before a Megan Gilligan volley, a neat Gaby Hodgson flick and a strong finish from Hope Bayford-Smith secured all three points with a 5-2 win.
