A high-speed crash on the opening lap of round 11 of the 2015 Pirelli National Superstock 1000 Championship at Silverstone put paid to James East’s chances of a points finish.
Starting fifth on the grid after a decent qualifying session, Royston’s East was lying in sixth place when he left his bike and hit the Silverstone tarmac.
Both rider and bike took a beating but he will be back for the championship finale at Brands Hatch in 10 days looking to improve his final standing.
