AN avid young Tottenham fan fulfilled his dream by leading Spurs out at White Hart Lane in front of more than 36,000 fans.

Seven-year-old James Savage of Buntingford accompanied his heroes including Ledley King, Robbie Keane, Dimitar Berbatov and Jonathan Woodgate on to the field ahead of his team's 4-4 supercharged draw with Chelsea.

In a night of stunning goals, Spurs-mad James saw the Blues take the lead on three separate occasions, before his striking idol Keane fired home an 88th minute equaliser.

James, who attends Millfield School, said: "It was a really good game and I had a lot of fun.

"The best bit was warming up with Ledley King before the game, where we did some passing together - he's a really good player!"

And having scored a hat-trick for Buntingford Cougars under-eights three days before, James also shared his goalscoring tips with Irish international Keane, with the talented youngster's advice seemingly paying off!

But James was quick to point out Berbatov's injury time miss.

He said: "He definitely should have scored - it was an easy chance!"

It appears James has become Spurs' good luck charm, having cheered them on to Carling Cup glory over Chelsea just four weeks earlier.

He said: "Spurs have been doing well and they will get even better!

"I also met all the players again after the game and I got them to sign my cup final programme. I've already shown all my friends!"

And if the talented young striker can keep on scoring he might just fulfil his other footballing ambition.

He said: "One day I would love to play professionally for Tottenham and score lots of goals!
