GREAT Chishill built on their good recent cup form, by beginning their league campaign with an impressive win against Chesterford.
The hosts eased themselves into the contest, and took the lead when Ian Gallagher's long clearance eluded the whole defence, leaving Steve McGee to run through and score low past the keeper.
They doubled the lead before the interval, when a low cross from the left was dummied by McGee, allowing Jonathan Drury to fire past the keeper for his first of the season.
The game was secured when Peter Jackson raced through unchallenged to slot the ball into the far corner.
Shortly after, he turned provider, pulling the ball back for McGee to lash in a wicked left foot shot from 18 yards.
