THE under-14 Knights continued their good form with another convincing display at Austen Arrowheads. Chris Hogg was on target twice, which together with goals from Tom Lee, Duane Brailsford and an own goal gave the Knights a 5-0 victory. In Division Two the Crusaders were beaten 3-1 at Bishop's Stortford Jets, the Crusaders goal coming from new signing Sam Considine. The under-14 Lancers remain on top of Division Three after a victory at Stotfold. Sam Frazer-Bossom was on target twice while further goals from Joel Strickland and an own goal made the final score 4-1. In the mini soccer competition the under-10 Templars suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of Royston Celtic A, while the Crusaders continued their improving form by holding Celtic B to a goalless draw. The Knights game against Arlesey Town 'A' also finished goalless, while the Lancers and Arlesey B produced a close fought encounter with the visitors finally taking the points in a 3-2 victory. The under-11 Templars resumed their season after the Christmas break in the best possible way as goals from Jhai Dhillon, Sam Talbot and Ben Pearson gave them a comfortable 3-0 win at St Neots. A Ben Rayner goal was the under-11 Crusaders only consolation as they found visiting Potton too strong on the day, ending up on the wrong end of a 13-1 score-line. In Division Four the Knights picked up another useful point as they fought out a goalless draw at Stevenage Colts. The under-12 Templars put last week's county cup defeat behind them as they returned to league action with a 2-1 victory against Fairlands Youth Blues. Both the under-12 Knights and Lancers were on the wrong end of heavy defeats with the Knights losing 13-0 at Pin Green and the Lancers 6-0 at home to Hormead Hares. In the under-13 league both the Templars and Knights suffered defeats against their respective league leaders. Alex Baker scored the Templars goal in a 3-1 defeat against Bennington, while the Knights went down 6-1 against a very strong Letchworth Garden City Reds side. In Division One of the under-15 league, the Templars picked an excellent point, as an Alex Wilson goal earned them a 1-1 draw against highflying Wymondley Park, while the Saints were on the wrong end of a 2-0 score line against second in the league Letchworth. The under-15 Crusaders will feel they deserved more for their efforts than to return from Sawbridgeworth Town 6-1 losers. James King scored the Crusaders goal early in the second half. In Division One of the under-16s a weakened Templars side returned from Bedwell Rangers Blues on the wrong end of a 7-0 scoreline. The under-16 Crusaders maintained second spot in Division Two as a single Ainslie Charles goal gave them all three points at home to Buntingford Cougars. The under-17 Crusaders were left to rue missed chances, including a penalty against Risden Wood, and paid the price as two breakaway goals gave the visitors the points in a 2-0 win.
