Heydon Grange Venerables went on their annual three-day UK tour to Thorpeness Golf Club last week and once again this James Braid designed course proved a tough challenge in very windy conditions.
The three days of play saw competition for both the Bill Cook Memorial Trophy, played on the second day, and the Brothwell Trophy for the best two scores over the three days.
Winner (second day) of the Bill Cook Memorial Trophy Andrew Wyatt 26 points.
Overall competition and the Brothwell Trophy winner David Baker 62 points, runner-up Tony Eggs 60 points and third Colin Edge 57 points.
