Heydon Grange’s male players won the battle of genders as they beat the ladies in a newly created four ball better ball competition on the Essex and Cambs courses last Sunday.
At the end of the match, contested by six teams from either side, a scoreline of 5 & 1 delivered resounding success for the men.
Lady captain Mandy Handscombe congratulated the men and presented their captain, Martin Redgewell, with the trophy.
Wendy Osborne won the nearest the pin competition.
