BOTH the ladies and men members at Heydon Grange Golf Club took up their clubs at the weekend to compete for a place in the regional final of the Hertfordshire Mercedes Challenge to take place later this year at Hanbury Manor.
The men combined their Challenge with the Sprayavia Trophy and playing off full handicap, Gwyn May took the honours with a Stableford points score of 39. Runner-up was David Tomkins with 38 points after a count back on the Cambs course.
The ladies confined their golf to the Challenge and the winner was Linda Williams with a superb score of 41 Stableford points from runner-up Gay Rodham on 39.
