AFTER having 169 to chase, Hatley scraped a win against Bassingbourn on Sunday.

The visitors welcomed back former skipper Collett, after a year away, and soon had Bassingbourn all out for 169, despite the best efforts of Robinson who chalked up a well-taken 52.

Brendan Larder and Greg Hooley took figures of 4-55 and 3-27 respectively.

In reply, Hatley had to work hard for their total, with captain M Hooley (44) and Randy Davenport (30) working well. Final pair Trevor Parry saw Hatley home scoring the required 12 with cool authority.
