TOM HARRINGTON produced a superb display at the recent Inter-District Swimming School Games held in Watford to win two gold medals for North Hertfordshire.
The Greneway and Royston Swimming Club member firstly won gold in the individual 50m backstroke with a time of 33.16secs before helping the freestyle relay team win gold as well.
These superb performances helped the North Hertfordshire U13 Boys team capture the championship for the very first time.
The individual gold means Tom has been selected for the Hertfordshire Schools’ team for the School Games (Level 3) Inter-County Finals in June.
Assistant Headteacher Terry Graves said of the achievement: “An outstanding achievement for Tom and the team which once again emphasises the great development partnership and pathway between Greneway School, Royston and Cambridge Swimming Clubs.”
