Bassingbourn Youth 1 Hormead Hares 3
Under-11s Division Two
HORMEAD began this game well putting the home goal under a lot of pressure but they were unlucky not to get an early lead.
Bourn tightened up their defensive game with Matthew Gwynn dropping back to centre half and once they got added width into their game they started to look more dangerous in attack.
A good through ball from Jack Brough set Matt Tiffin up with a one-on-one against the goalkeeper from which he scored to give Bourn the lead and a goal-line clearance from Cameron MacGillivray ensured Bourn went into half time with their lead intact.
Hormead responded by scoring two goals yet Bourn responded themselves with some strong attacking runs from Tiffin, Dylan Lloyd and Jake Keeble.
