The under-13s continued their onward march with a hard fought 5-1 victory away to Stevenage Borough Junior Tigers.

Hares persistence in front of goal paid off when in his panic to clear his lines a Tigers defender handled the ball.

Matty Hilton stepped up and fired home from the penalty spot moments before the half time whistle.

Hormead started the second half the stronger placing Borough under constant pressure.

George Beardon grabbed his first of the season before a marauding Luke Cox netted Hares' third.

Stevenage netted shortly after but Hares replied twice more with a penalty strike from man-of-the-match Harry Crow and a sublime James Kaye finish.

The under-eight A team made the trip to Letchworth Garden City and started brightly at this tough fixture. Sheldon Best looking like the most likely to score, supported by Lewis Ellis' powerful forward runs.

However, it was Letchworth that proved the stronger, netting three times before the break.

After the break, Eagles' pacy striker notched up a hat-trick to put the game beyond Hormead whose heads proudly never dropped. Letchworth running out eventual 6-0 winners.

Hares B took to the field undaunted by the previous Eagles display. Keeper Charlie Hannam led the troops with a great early save ably assisted by defender Harry Coles standing firm in front of him. Chrissy Georgiou covered acres of ground desperately trying to create something out of nothing but it was once again Eagles who scored going in 1-0 up at half time.

Eliot Gilbertson took the game to Letchworth in the second half, but it was keeper Hannam assisted this time by Toby Emes keeping Eagles at bay.

A battling Hares chased the game throwing men forward only to concede twice more and were unlucky not to grab a well deserved consolation goal.

Away to Potton, the under-10 A side keeper Robert Brain could not stop Potton's first goal going in and with an unlucky own goal, Potton doubled their lead at half-time.

Despite the efforts of Alex Underwood and Harrison Green who both came close to scoring in the second half the score remained in Potton's favour at 2-0.

The B team went down 4-0 despite the endeavours of keeper Ian Curtis with some fine saves and Jack Taney with a good passing performance. Brothers Daniel and David Ra also put in good performances but alas Potton proved to be just too strong for a weakened Hare's side.

Hares' under-15s were up against second place Stansted last week in what proved to be another tough test.

From the first minute to the last Hormead battled superbly in what was possibly there best game of the season to date.

DJ Winkworth fired home Hares' first with an unstoppable shot from the edge of the box before Stansted replied 10 minutes later.

Stansted started the brighter of the second half but Tayler Follen outpaced his defender and slid the ball home for his first in six years.

Daniel Bank-Smith sealed the win, to give Hormead a well-deserved 3-1 win.

A poor start from Hormead's under-13 girls gifted a two-goal head-start to Cottenham.

Hares re-grouped and neat finish from Becky Turner assisted by Katie Jennings gave Hares a platform for their comeback.

Jennings provided again putting Turner through on goal to even the scores at half time.

Ten minutes after the re-start Turner sealed an impressive hat-trick to give Hares the lead for the first time.

Cottenham fought back and pegged it back to 3-3 before Hares were awarded a penalty. Alex Hunt stepped up to smash the ball home to seal a deserved Hares' victory.
