In-form Royston extended their unbeaten run to six games, after coming back from two goals down.

Potton took an early lead, scoring two well-worked goals in quick succession.

But Colts dug deep and slowly clawed their way back into the game.

Skipper Jake Benstead led by example and went close with two good efforts.

Harry Stafford and Jordan Hall steadied the ship at the back and started to form a tough barrier between Royston's goal and the Potton attackers.

In the second half, the home side took advantage of the windy conditions, with keeper Ashley Chapman launching a number of attacks.

This tactic soon paid dividends, when Jack Bailey pulled back a goal, taking advantage of a rare error from the visiting number one.

Sensing points were still up for grabs, Colts pressed for the equaliser, with John Middlemass and Max McLean causing problems.

Chances came and went, and just when it looked like Royston might go home empty-handed, Hall popped up with a well-taken leveller.

ROYSTON put up a spirited performance against league leaders Broadhall, who for once did not get everything quite their own way.

Early exchanges were shared as both sides created chances to take the lead, with Michael Pinner going closest for Colts with a clever free kick.

It was a chance that seemed to spur the home side forward, and in a swift reply opened the scoring.

Youth looked to extend their lead moments later, and only had goal keeper Jamie Gibbs to thank with an excellent one-handed save.

Ollie Fisher and Dan Gilbert caused Broadhall's defence a few problems, but overall failed to craete any serious chances.

In the second half Royston continued to try to create opportunities with some neat moves, but again found the final touch missing in front of goal.

Which could not be said for the home side, who grabbed two more goals midway through the half.

Broadhall visit Royston in two weeks' time and if the Colts can find form in front of goal it promises to be an interesting game.
