ROYSTON Tennis club's Emily Griffin and Bonnie Townsend played extremely well at the County Finals at Welwyn GC, coming third, while two Royston boys' teams are playing in the County Finals next weekend.
The adult Winter League got under way last weekend with an excellent start for the men's first team of Andy Holmes, Matt Fellingham, Richard Fosbeary and Joe Parrish who trounced Cambridge seconds 8-0.
The men's seconds of John Goodbody, Roger Maybury, Garry Tobiss and Ralph Betts beat Buckden thirds 5-3.
The home match between Royston's first and second team was a draw.
The first team players were Christine Knight, Richard Fosbeary, John Holmes and Emma Daintrey, while the second team players were Sue Addison, Mike Fellingham, Karin Lambert and David Addison.
