GRENEWAY School's talented Year 6 Sportshall Athletics team emerged victorious when they travelled to Priory School (Hitchin) for their first taste of this indoor athletics competition against six other schools from the North Herts region.
The athletes took part in the following events: Obstacle relay, 2 x 2 lap relay, 2 x 6 lap relay, 4 x 1 lap relay, standing long jump, standing triple jump, speed bounce, balance bar, chest push, foam javelin.
Each competitor takes part in three events and the distance and times determine places and points.
Following some great races and exciting field events both the girls and the boys teams were placed first and Greneway were first overall to book their place in the North Herts Schools' final at Knights Templar School, on Wednesday, March 21.
