GRENEWAY athletes from Year 7 and 8 have competed in their respective third and final North Herts Schools’ League meet with some more excellent individual and team performances.
In difficult weather conditions, many athletes established new and improved PBs and some even moved up the Schools’ ‘All-Time List’.
The Year 7s were participating in a third competitive experience of the season, and many for the first time at an athletics stadium. The Year 7 team achieved an impressive 15 firsts and the Year 8s an even better 19!
Assistant Headteacher Terry Graves was understanderbly pleased with their achievements and said: “Once more our athletes were great amabassadors for the school and Royston. The team spirit is superb and we are always well supported by many parents who travel over form Royston.”
