Tina Broadley again proved her dominance of the Heydon Grange ladies' section by securing her eighth straight victory in the Ladies' Championship.

Broadley collected her ninth title, finishing 12 shots clear of Dawn Glennie.

The blistering heat proved no obstacle for the clinical Broadley (8), who romped home in this 27-hole competition with a gross 116.

Glennie (10) was only two shots adrift of Broadley entering the final nine holes but again had to be satisfied with second place on 128 as Broadley turned the screw with a level par 36 for the final nine holes of the Herts course.

Roz McKenzie took third place with 132. The nett winner was Ellie Brown with 106, who edged in front of McKenzie.

Best nett scores on each nine were Essex: Elaine Knobel-Forbes, 32; Cambs: Tammini Hurst, 34; Herts: Sue Slater, 33.
