TALENTED young anglers gathered at Thriplow Reservoir on Saturday for Royston & District Angling Club s junior open match. Sean Failettaz, 11, was the overall winner, with a weight of 2 lbs 14 oz and Ben Coxall came second in the U12 category with 14 oz.
TALENTED young anglers gathered at Thriplow Reservoir on Saturday for Royston & District Angling Club's junior open match.
Sean Failettaz, 11, was the overall winner, with a weight of 2 lbs 14 oz and Ben Coxall came second in the U12 category with 14 oz.
In the U17 section, Liam Purkiss finished as runner-up, with a weight of 1 lb 10.5 oz Christopher Smith came third (1 lb 6.5 oz) and Jason Leighton was fourth.
The next meeting will be a tri-angular match between Royston Angling Club, Rugby Cement AC, and Eternit A.C, at Lawn Farm on Sunday.
The draw will be held at 9am, and fishing will take place from10am-4pm.
