GREAT Chishill's challenge for promotion continued to crumble, as they lost to basement boys Cambridge St Giles.
It was Angus Gent's side's fourth defeat of the season, and despite his and spin partner Steve Gardner's best efforts - taking seven wickets between them - St Giles totalled 192.
Kirk Chilton's classy 68 gave Great Chishill some hope in taking the maximum points, but when he was dismissed their innings faltered and they fell an agonising 10 runs short of victory.
