Frustrating weekend for Royston racer at Silverstone

ROYSTON’S Kieren Clark endured a frustrating weekend at the Ginetta G40 Challenge at Silvertsone this week.

He was forced to retire in the early stages of race one due to a collision while battling for second place before he was dealt a blow in the second race when his car suffered a bodywork problem that ended his chances of winning the race. It was a shame for Clark, who had qualified fourth and third respectively for the two races after impressive qualifying sessions on a damp track.

Clark was understandably frustrated at how events unfolded but remained upbeat about the future: “We’ve got to work hard over the next few months to bring together enough support to secure a seat in the 2012 British GT championship,” said Clark. “It’s a great opportunity for the right partners, with great publicity and a fantastic range of top quality sports car names, we’ve just got to make it all happen.”
