ROYSTON seconds kept up their 100 per cent league record and have now scored 28 goals in three games and not condeded one.
The goals flowed throughout the game with five coming from Nick Freeman, two apiece for Mike Welding and Darren Hicks and singles for Matt Allsopp, Ian Harper, Broadley and Watson.
West Herts 5th XI 1 Royston 6
ROYSTON made the journey to Rickmansworth on Saturday expecting a tough match, and looking to improve even further on last week's encouraging performance.
Owen Russell put Royston ahead firing into the top of the net. The hosts looked dangerous at times going forward, but rarely managed to trouble Royston's keeper Chris Markham.
The advantage was doubled from a sweetly struck short corner by Dave Barker. Royston should have added a third just before the break, but Ralf Louwers, sent his shot wide.
Sam Polge netted his first goal for the Crows in the second half, which was followed only a minute later by Louwers calmly finishing at the back post for the fourth goal.
Russell then scored his second. The hosts netted themselves from a well finished short corner. The balance was eventually restored, once the ever dangerous Nick Hurd slotted in the final goal of the match.
Royston Ladies 6 St Albans II 4
ROYSTON made a great start with a goal from vice-captain Denise Underwood followed by an own goal to give them a two goal advantage.
By the interval St Albans had reduced the arrears and in the second period the Saints piled on the pressure.
Sophie Gathercole struck Royston's third goal but once again St Albans hit back to score again.
Royston went on the attack again and hit their fourth goal through Kate Nankivell.
Gathercole and Kirsty Penfold completed the scoring.
Royston Ladies 3rds 0 St Albans 5ths 0
A disappointing result for the Ladies as they played an evenly fought match and were unlucky not to score goals from short corners.
Harriet Johnson, Jess Woodhouse and Leanne Kean all played well up front and were unfortunate not to score.
With a good defence of Jo Pearce, Teresa Smith (player of the match) and Gemma Luckman who was suffering from tonsilitus, they kept the St Albans attack at bay.
Royston 4ths 6 Hertford 3rds 1
ROYSTON started strongly with Beeve Gourd scoring from an acute angle, and he found the net again to score with an unstoppable shot for his second.
After the break a goal from John Gourd from a short corner put the game beyond doubt.
Beeve Gourd completed his hat trick from a short corner and Keith Markham finished off a great passing move to increase the lead. Paul Bloomfield finished off the game in style with a splendid individual goal before Hertford sneaked a late consolation goal.
Royston 5ths 3 Potters Bar 3rds 4
DESPITE only having ten men Royston were still unlucky to lose this game.
Royston's goals came from Richard Bowen (2) and Nigel Philips.
Royston Vets 3 Bishop's Stortford Vets 2
GOALS from Andy Wilson, Simson Hughes and Clive Biddlecombe pushed Royston Vets into the next round of the HA Cup.
It was a case of the minnows taking victory against the much fancied Stortford side.
