SUFFERING their first defeat of the season, Foxton seconds slipped up against Haslingfield on Saturday.
After winning the toss the visitors put Haslingfield into bat, with Archie Lenton taking the first wicket with a calmly taken catch courtesy of Pat Collins in the deep.
However, Foxton struggled to take another, with Flatman (51) and Clarkson (40) taking Haslingfield forward.
As a result of some erratic Foxton bowling, the hosts rattled up 160-7 from their 40 overs.
Tom Williams was the pick of the visiting bowlers, collecting 3-41 from his 10 overs.
The Foxton reply never really got going, losing openers Ed Carpenter and Ben Howlett for cheap wickets early on, with the Haslingfield opening bowlers Flatman (3-22) and Connors (5-44) causing a number of problems.
Only Andy Kimsey (23) and Williams offered any Foxton resistance, with the visitors skittled out for a disappointing 97.
