FOXTON recorded a much-needed eight-wicket victory against bottom club Abington on Saturday.
The points were well received by a side that has struggled so far this season and it was a win that was achieved in fine fashion.
Foxton won the toss and elected their opponents to bat first and it was the correct decision as the bowlers totally dominated the batsmen throughout.
Mark Ferrari led the way and finished with figures of 8.3-5-4-3 as Abington’s only form of resistance came from J Smart who reached 46 as his team were all-out for a mere 93.
It took Foxton only an hour to reach their target as they lost only two wickets in the process.
John Procajlo topped the scoring for Foxton with an unbeaten 46 which included an impressive 10 4s.
Foxton travel to table-toppers Wisbech on Saturday.
