Godmanchester 274-6 Foxton 150 Godmanchester won by 124 runs
FOXTON’S poor season continued at Godmanchester on Saturday.
The home side won the toss and decided to bat and soon set about posting a decent score.
Godmanchester’s top scorers were T Pascoe with 80* and M Cafferkey 65* and it was really a day to forget for Foxton’s bowlers.
However, they did well to contain their opponents to 127-2 after 30 overs, but slack fielding and loose bowling saw the hosts plunder 147 of the final 18 overs.
Foxton opened their innings in sparkling form with openers J Procajlo and skipper A Atwell both reaching half centuries but after their departure nobody else could reach even double figures and they sank to 150 all-out with home bowler Baldwin taking 5-10.
