AFTER a comfortable win over Stapleford Foxton maintained the pressure on CCA Senior Division 1 leaders St Ives.

At 53 from five overs Stapleford looked like they had a massive total on the cards, but that changed when Foxton captain Patrick Joseph took the ball.

Joseph took a Stapleford wicket with his first ball, with two more following in quick succession.

He was supported by Atwell (3-30) and Dean (3-30), and Foxton reduced their opponents to 143 all out.

Sam Sabey then gave Foxton a solid start with the bat, scoring 35 before being trapped lbw, while his captain took more control with a chanceless knock of 65 not out.

It was another impressive display from Joseph as he steered his side home comfortably with the loss of only two wickets and with 21 overs to spare.

Foxton have also reached two cup finals and face Girton in the CCA Lower Junior Final on Sunday and derby rivals Barrington in the Walker Cup Final the following week.

- Foxton ran out comfortable winners against Barrington in their Cambs Senior Division 1 match with Laurence Farnum in impressive form once more.

They bowled out Barrington for 161, before Farnum saw them home with an undefeated 85.
