FOXTON tasted defeat at Ramsey last Saturday having won the toss and raced to 120-2 after 27 overs.

John Procajto (50) and Alex Ranger (45) both performed well at the crease before an unforseen collapse in the following 10 overs meant Foxton were all out for 157.

The batsmen just couldn't cope with the Ramsey attack as their top bowlers Yelland (5-53) and Brown (4-20) proved to hot to handle.

Foxton took two early wickets early on and, at 23-2, Foxton had high hopes of snatching something from the match.

However, a superb 85 from opener Clark and 32 from Markland thwarted Foxton's chances as they eventually coasted to a six-wicket victory.

This Saturday, Foxton are at home to Camden and welcome back their top batsman Lawrence Farnum and new member Kai Sanderson.
