FOWLMERE succumbed to their fourth 2-1 defeat in five games as their losing streak extended to six matches.

Their opponents were suffering from their own misfortunes ahead of Saturday's game, but it was West Wratting who came away with the points.

Fowlmere were trailing 2-0 at half-time, before midfielder Dan Caley reduced the deficit with a well-taken strike.

In fact, it was the hosts who looked the most impressive throughout, and should have taken something from the game after creating a number of chances.

Manager Steve Walker said: "It was yet another 2-1 defeat, and another very tight game. I thought we played really well and matched West Wratting in every department.

"We're having a difficult time at the moment, and we certainly don't deserve to be losing.

"We have a tough game this Saturday against Sawston United, and we really do need a win.

"We just need to go out there and be competitive, because on our day we can beat anyone in the division!
