THE quarter finals of the Chris Boote Memorial Tournament kicked off this week with Fowlmere and JM Metals easing through to the semi-finals of the competition.
In the opening match on Monday night, Fowlmere knocked eight passed a helpless AFC Rock defence.
The rout was cemented thanks to goals from Chris Jelley, Mark Shouter, Ian Gill, George Kew and a fabulous four goal haul from player manager Trevor Symonds. JM Metals knocked out Barrington with Dalton O'Brien scoring twice.
They will be joined by the winners of Bassingbourn and Melbourn who played last night (Wednesday) and the winners of Foxton and Meldreth who play tonight (Thursday).
The semi-finals are scheduled for Monday and Tuesday with the final taking place on Friday, May 26.
