THERE will be plenty of pre-season action at The Bury, as Buntingford Town have lined up four friendly games before their Herts County League season kicks off on Saturday August 19.

United Counties League side Wellingborough Town, who finished runners up in Division One last season, provide the opposition for the opening game on Saturday July 22.

The following two Saturdays see sides who struggled in last season's Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division - the competition Royston Town play in - as the visitors

Langford, who finished fourth from bottom, visit on July 29, while Haringey Borough, who were relegated after finishing second bottom, arrive on August 5.

The home games are completed on Saturday August 12 when Essex Intermediate League high-fliers Bishop's Stortford Swifts are the visitors.

Town have also arranged to travel to St Ives Town on Tuesday, August 1.
