BUNTINGFORD Town fell foul of the weather again, as another league fixture at The Bury was called off.

And with the first team's Herts Senior County Premier League encounter with second placed Whitewebbs postponed, the footballing mantle was left for the club's reserve side.

And they certainly accepted the task with an impressive win that moved them up to third place in the table, beating Hatfield Town Reserves 4-0.

The A team also did well in their match against Bengeo Trinity Reserves, sharing the points in a 1-1 draw.

The point was much needed and has moved the club off the foot of Division One of the Hertford and District League.

Buntingford will hope to beat their weather jinx, when they entertain bottom club Standon and Puckeridge on Saturday.
