THIS derby game was a thriller for both sets of supporters.
With the home team having all the early possession and creating chance after chance, but unable to convert their opportunities due to some stubborn defending and great saves from the Celtic keeper.
However it was the away team who opened the scoring with a clinical finish from inside the box, giving keeper Nick Thompson no chance.
Melbourn were in no mood to drop their heads and replied just before the break, when Byron Lawrence sent Patrick Hopper clear to finish from close in.
Celtic started the second half better and it was Melbourns turn to defend and the hard work by the defensive unit of Joe Carrington, Ben Jones, Jordan Hardwidge and Billy Halliwell were doing well, until the ball fell to the Celtics striker who smashed the ball into the top corner to make it 2-1.
Melbourn equalised almost immediately when Hopper claimed his second of the game, after some good play from Toby Jackson created the opening.
Royston took the lead for the third time with 10 minutes to play, when both teams were starting to show signs of tiredness.
But the home side were not finished with and man of the match Nathan Henry split the defence with a superb pass to Sam Webb who hit it first time with his left foot and the ball flew into the back of the net.
There was still time for both teams to win the game in the dying moments, the best chance falling to Lawrence after a clever free kick from Henry put him in space but the well organised defence closed the ball down and blocked the goalbound shot.
