Under-nines

In Clifton’s first home game of the season, this was vintage football of the highest quality.

Clifton pressed, hurried and were tenacious throughout.

Goals from Josh Evans (four), Cameron Godfrey (three), James Hannan (two), Josh Scoot (two), and single strikes from Ciaran Boyle, Toby Shacklock, Reece Campbell and a penalty from Josh Wendon sealed an emphatic victory.

The passing and movement was evident right from the off. Stevenage Boro are a newly created side and it was a delight to see their togetherness and they never let their heads go down throughout the match.

Under-nines

In the second game of the day, Clifton Colts were superb in every department and it was a joy to watch the exquisite football on show.

The pleasing thing was the teamwork from the boys and their desire to excel in all that they did.

A special mention to Stevenage Boro’s goalkeeper who played his heart out throughout the game and well done to all their boys and girls for battling hard all game.

Clifton’s goals came from Josh Scoot and Ben Hopkins both with hat-tricks, Eddie Hall with (two), and goals from Keown Peel, Reece Campbell, Luke Rowe and Aaron Prior.
