ROYSTON Town boss Paul Attfield was happy with the point his side secured in the 0-0 home battle with title rivals Kings Langley at Garden Walk on Saturday.
Attfield said afterwards: "Overall I think the game was an excellent one for the spectator and over the 90 minutes I think the outcome was probably fair.
"I felt Kings Langley were very lively in the first half and we struggled to contain their swift advances with their front two causing us problems.
"We didn't keep the ball well enough or react to second ball as well as what we should do and we ended up giving away too many set plays which at the time looked like their best way of getting a goal.
"We should have been a goal or two down at the interval but we weren't and managed to sort out a few things at half time.
"I felt we got into them more in the second half and used the ball better. Once again the early introduction of teenager Ricky Young and a formation change gave
us good impetus and certainly in the last 20 minutes we were well on top and created enough to have nicked a goal.
"Josh Bronti and Jamie Morriss came on the wings in the last 15 minutes and gave me plenty of pace and energy against a clearly tiring team but we couldn't find a goal.
"However the pitch was difficult for the lads to play on and I was very pleased with our second half reaction after the difficulties in the first half. I am very satisfied with a point against a very good side which extends our unbeaten league run even further."
* The Crows have gained their first award of what is proving to be a very successful season by gaining the Molten South Midlands Division One team of the month award for November.
Four league wins and a draw saw The Crows go to the top of the division and the month saw them go unbeaten in the league as well as progressing to the quarter finals of the division one cup.
The award will be presented by a representative of the league and sponsors at a home game soon.
