MELBOURN grabbed another three points against a lively Colts team as George Storey scored yet another hat trick.
The early stages were fairly even as Colts defended well.
With six minutes gone, though, Storey opened the scoring for Panthers with a well struck shot from just inside the area that gave the Colts keeper no chance.
Moments later Panthers defender Ryan Lees suffered heavy bruising to his leg which forced him to miss most of the remainder of the first half.
The Panthers defence failed to re-organise quickly enough as they allowed the colts forward too much space through the middle, he finished well in the corner to make it 1-1 on ten minutes.
Melbourn settled down after this and created most of the chances for the remainder of the first half. From a free kick half way inside the Colts half Storey scored his second to make it 2-1.
Two minutes later Melbourn went 3-1 up with the goal of the game. Player of the match Nathan Proud produced an inch perfect cross for the shortest player on the pitch, Luke Eades, to score with an inch perfect glancing header.
Panthers pushed on from the start of the second half creating a host of chances. However from a Panthers corner it was Colts who got back into the game with a lightening break down their right after stray Melbourn pass fell kindly for them.
Their first shot hit the post only for the ball to fall kindly at the feet of the Colts attacker who finished well to make it 3-2 on thirty three minutes.
From then on Panthers stepped up a gear and four minutes later the hard working Tommy Hollway made it 4-2 as he finished with a ferocious shot from the edge of the Colts penalty area after latching onto a Connor Patel goal kick.
It was almost 5-2 a few minutes later as Eades went on a mazy run but just failed to find the net with a chip as the Colts keeper was stranded.
A minute later Panthers did grab their fifth after a great one two between Proud and Sam Potterill saw Proud fire home with style from a tight angle.
It was 6-2 on forty three mintues as Hollway did all the leg work in creating a clear opening for Storey to grab his hat trick.
Storey then turned to provider as his perfect cross found Eades who grabbed his second of the game.
