SEAN Audley took his tally to 10 goals in seven games, as rampant Fowlmere's impressive run of form continued.

Under the cosh for most of the first half, the visitors held on, and thanks to some superb defending and a number of top saves from Tom Fulk, BIS 1A league leaders Duxford were denied an extension to their 1-0 lead.

However, in the second half Steve Walker's side showed their growing character, and within minutes a knock down from Audley was fired home by George Kew.

The talented Audley then put Folwmere in front when he swooped in on Karyl Darcey's corner, before leaving the Duxford keeper stranded with a well-taken second.

He then turned provider once more, freeing the advancing Kew for his second of the game with 10 minutes left.

The hosts replied with their second of the match, but the points were already in the bag.

Fowlmere manager Steve Walker said: "It was a fantastic win for us, and considering we were absolutely battered in the first half, it was a great turnaround.

"We rode our luck in the first half, but after the break we played to our strengths and took our chances.

"Audley had another terrific game and he's making a big difference at the moment.

"But they're all playing well, and now having gone seven games unbeaten, our confidence is well and truly back."

On Saturday Fowlmere saw off rivals Litlington Athletic in a commanding 3-1 victory, with Audley again on target with two first-half strikes.

Danny Mizon put the game beyond doubt in the second half with a cool strike under pressure.

Walker's side are without a game on Saturday, but return to action on Tuesday with a trip to Comberton United in the semi-final of the Foster Cup.

Then on Thursday, Fowlmere host Great Shelford A in the quarter-final of the Bambridge Cup.
