MELBOURN gave chase to Hormead Hares with a display of fine football.

New signing Danny Friel impressed for Tigers and his delightful pass to Jacob Rand down the left set up the on-running Ben Breeze.

Hares chased the Melbourn midfield all over the park and were rewarded with a goal through a Tigers defender just before half time.

Both teams battled well in the second half, but Melbourn's Rebecca Broker had the last word with a great strike midway through the second period.
