MELBOURN Dynamos Tigers returned to league action on Sunday with an end-to-end game that did not reflect in the scoreline.

With six new signings taking to the field, Tigers showed that with a little more experience they have the ability to do well this season.

The visitors missed several scoring opportunities with one Matthew Harris strike going closest, and with Megan Jeray creating chances for her team mates.

Tigers trailed 1-0 at half time, but Sam Austin equalised for Melbourn with a fine left-foot shot.

However, some uneasy defending led to another Shefford goal despite Melbourn going close once again.

As the Tigers searched for another equaliser, Shefford continued their own pressure and showed their opponents where the goal was with three more goals in the last quarter of the match.
