A TIGHT Herts County Cup encounter saw Baldock go out of the competition at the hands of Berkhamsted Raiders.

Baldock took an early lead direct from a free kick, which was curled round the wall and past the keeper.

However, after a succession of dangerous corners, the home side slotted in a close-range equaliser.

The match continued to ebb and flow, with chances coming and going at both ends.

Berkhamsted grabbed a late winner when a shot took an unfortunate bobble off the pitch and squeezed into the net.

Templars pushed hard for an equaliser, but were unable to get a second goal and Berkhamsted ran out winners.
