THREE goals in the last 10 minutes saw Melbourn to a late win.

It was a game the visitors dominated from the start, with Melbourn enjoying most of the first-half action with player manager Mick Walker touching the ball just once in the Melbourn goal.

And the game should have all been wrapped up early midway through the half, but Kris Watters squandered four excellent chances as the two sides went into the interval on level terms.

The second half started much the same, with Ash Bryan, Stuart Collen, and Shaun Birchener solid at the back for the visitors, and James Hill and Michael Wagstaff keeping things moving in the Melbourn midfield.

However, despite the possession and pressure, Melbourn left it late, with Andrew Ridden's cross-cum-shot deceiving the Linton keeper to open the scoring.

Steve Marriott added a second shortly after, when his low shot was deflected in at the back post, and Watters made it three with another close-range effort.

With the game all but won, Linton did snatch a late consolation moments later, but the Melbourn defence was too strong to be breached twice.
