THE visitors started brightly and played to some nice football with Joshua Allen and Travis Hambleton causing havoc down the flanks and Harry Isherwood a constant threat in attack.

Tommy Chaplin didn't lose a tackle in central midfield and with Archie Garrett and Katie McLaughlin solid as a rock in defence.

It was Isherwood that opened the scoring in the first half after good work down the right from Hambleton. Mitchell Rogers was introduced in an unfamiliar role in left midfield and had an immediate impact in the game.

In the second half Knebworth continued to defend well, restricting Hitchin to very few chances and then Rogers scored two goals, arriving late in the box and finishing from a similar position on both occasion - one with his left and another with his right to make it 3-0.

A superb team performance by everybody and it was nice to see the team back to winning ways.
