THE under-11 Blues marched into the next round of the county cup with a comfortable 8-0 win at Broadhall Tigers.
Alex Curren, Ollie Dent, Reece Cassar all bagged braces, with Daniel Share and James Hughes each adding a goal.
In contrast the under-11 Whites had only a Chris Marshall goal to show for their efforts in a 2-1 loss at Bishop's Stortford United.
The under-13 Blues also progressed in the league cup, thanks to a 5-1 win at Wymondley Wanderers.
Playing up the slop in the first half, George Duffin put the visitors ahead shortly before the break, but he added a second in after the break, with Hunter Diack also scoring twice and Luke Reed joining them on the scoresheet.
There was also a league cup win for the under-14s, but it took a penalty shoot-out at Manuden before they could wrap up a place in the next round.
Michael Holland opened the scoring with a volley that left the goalkeeper with no chance to react. However Manuden were soon back in the game from a poorly defended corner. Piggott's pace and energy were too much for the Manuden defence and he soon put Cougars back in front.
In the second half Manuden pressed for an equaliser and were soon rewarded for their efforts, sending the game into extra time.
Cougars did not give up and Holland used his height and ball skills fired from outside the area to put Cougars back in front once again.
Manuden had other ideas about conceding the game and just before the end of extra time latched onto a mistake by the Cougars midfield to equalise.
After five penalties the teams were all square, leaving it to Alex West in sudden death to take Cougars into the next round with a rocket in off the bar after Mark Kenny had saved the Manuden penalty.
Cougars' under 12's were on top form this week with a 7-2 win against Bassingbourne. The boys were firing on all cylinders with excellent work from Toby Greig, Scott Caine, Lewis Fitzgerald, and Jonathan Bowell.
Fitzgerald opened the scoring and Ryan Newey, Liam Faik and an own goal added to that, and then a hat-trick from Darren Aldridge meant it was game over for Bassingbourn.
Two Jack Clark-Ward goals could not prevent the under-15s losing 3-2 against Hitchin Town, but the under-16s took the Crow League points with a 5-1 win against Elsenham Youth.
The under-eights were away to Hatfield Youth on Saturday and came away with two wins.
A Jack McMeechan penalty midway through the second half gave the Blues a 1-0 win, while early strikes from Ryan Peck and Dane Hyland gave the Whites a 2-1 win.
After the under-10 A side have been involved in a goalless draw against Wymondley, the B team won 2-0 thanks to a pair of Alex McGregor goals.
