THE Crows' season ended in predictable fashion as they failed to take advantage of their territorial advantage, and finished by losing their 23rd league game of the season.
The result left them 18th in the 20-team Spartan South Midlands League Premier Division.
To make matters worse for the visitors, an erratic refereeing performance saw boss Mark Saggers banished to the stands, and centre-half Peter Flack sent off five minutes from time after collecting a second yellow card.
Despite having a patched-up side, missing first choice forwards Joff Dobson and Martin Westcott, the Crows opened brightly, with Ryan Cannon heading just over.
Carlo Silenti saw a header crash against the bar and Jez McMurrough lobbed over after a good ball beat the defence, but half-time arrived with the game still scoreless.
The hosts took advantage of Royston's inability to hit the target, and opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half, when Peter Chappell was harshly penalised on the edge of the box, and the resulting free-kick was deflected home by McMurrough.
McMurrough made amends 15 minutes later when he outpaced the Waders defence down the right before clinically finishing.
That proved to be as good as it got for the Crows, and with Saggers sent out of the dugout for allegedly swearing at the referee, and Flack joining him, Biggleswade scored a late winner when a forward latched on to a punch from Barry White and saw his shot hit the base of a post before going in to complete a miserable campaign for the Crows.
