TWO goals in the second half of extra-time sealed the Johnson Matthey Cup for Letchworth in a battle of the top two sides in the league.
The two teams have lost just one league game between this season, when Letchworth won at Wymondley, and it took an extra 20 minutes play before Reds could collect the cup.
Reds made the perfect start when they took a second minute lead, William Ross turning in the box and finishing clinically from nine yards.
Unlike the first final, however, the game settled down after that, with few real chances.
Letchworth's Roan Hedley looked the most likely to add to the scoreline, forcing a good save from Tom Maxwell and hooking a second effort just wide.
Park leveled the score three minutes before the break when a cross from the right was met by the head of Ashley Fitton for a well-worked goal.
Letchworth always looked the most likely side to score during the second half, with Louis Taylor firing wide after a good ball from Geoffrey Banks-Smith, and both Banks-Smith and Myles Lee going close.
The dying minutes of the second half saw both teams have chances to seal the game without the need for extra-time, with Letchworth having two legitimate shouts for handball in the box.
The first half of extra time saw Reds' Callum Davis fire just wide after a well-worked move, while Park's Junior Morrison saw his shot blocked by the legs of Jack Farmer.
That miss proved costly for the Hitchin side as Letchworth grabbed the lead four minutes into the second period of extra time with an absolute screamer when Park failed to clear an attack, and Hedley sent a screaming 20-yard shot from outside the box into the roof of the net.
With a minute of the game remaining, Michael Payne sealed the victory when he powered down the left and slid the ball into the far corner.
