League champions Royston faced the league runners-up, and both teams played with commitment and energy.
With few chances created in the first half, Town came close after the restart, when Reece King went close with a brave header. The visitors upped the pressure and came close on a number of occasions.
And the pressure paid off, when Jake Long got on the end of a Jordan Campbell long throw to scramble the ball home. However, their lead slipped when a lapse in concentration paved the way for a Bedwell forward to break free and slot past a stranded Colts keeper.
It has been a memorable year for the Colts; winning the league with games to spare, scoring 73 goals in all competitions and reaching the Herts County Cup Final on May 20.
Bedwell Rangers Barca Under 10 1 Royston Town Colts B 1
THE B team continued their own fine form with a hard fought draw ahead of next week's Crow League Tournament.
Royston pushed Bedwell back for most of the game and took the lead with an excellent Daniel Goodfellow half volley.
However, despite having the lion's share of possession, Bedwell scored a last minute equaliser in a move that started in their own box and ended with a great strike from the edge of Royston's area.
Royston Town Colts Under 12 3 Austin Arrowheads 0
COLTS travelled to Stevenage and heaped more misery on bottom-of-the-table Austin Arrowheads.
In a one-sided affair, Royston dominated throughout, with the scoreline only being what it was thanks to some courageous defending by the visitors.
When Colts' first goal did come, it came in some style with Keiran Willis-Wright firing a drive over the Arrowheads keeper and into the roof of the net. That goal was followed by an equally accurate goal, when man-of-the-match Louis Townsend rose to head home a corner.
In the second half, Royston maintained their dominance, but frustration began to grow in front of goal. However, their perseverance was rewarded with a third goal in the dying seconds of the match.
Melbourn Dynamos Panthers Under 8 2 Sawbridgeworth Juniors 3
DESPITE a brave fightback, Melbourn were unfortunate not to go home with a share of the points in this entertaining fixture.
After a missing a few early opportunities of their own, the home side found themselves trailing by two goals at half time. Luke Eades and Tom Hollway went close for the Panthers, but the Sawbridgeworth keeper proved more than able between the sticks.
However, Melbourn started the second half in promising fashion with George Storey striking the post after more good play by Eades.
But just when Melbourn looked to get a hold of the game, the visitors went another goal in front and gave the hosts a mounting to climb.
But the Melbourn players rose to the challenge, and scored two great goals in two minutes through the impressive Storey. His double gave the team something to play for, but with minutes on the clock it was all little too late.
